Travels With MieMie

Making Magical Memories With the Kids in Your Life

My four delightful grandchildren call me MieMie. My parents named me Monica.
I think I have always loved the idea of travel.
I now share that passion for travel with my grandchildren.
I’d like to help you make magical memories when you travel with your children and grandchildren too.

When I was young, books opened doors to the world and took me along on adventures to faraway places. The first time I boarded an airplane, I knew I would seek to experience that feeling over and over and over.

Then I started taking my grandchildren on adventures. That changed my view of the world.

This blog is written to help you experience the world through the delightfully uncomplicated and rosy perspectives of the children in your life. Your children will bring inquisitive, enthusiastic insights and so much fun to your travels if you create the opportunity for them to plan, engage and participate in the adventures.

Magical memories are just waiting for you to create them. Join me in my stories and I’ll help you plan amazing trips with your delightful kids.

Making Magical Memories

Following Your Passion

I spent the first chapter of my adult life as a high school French teacher, and I have spoken French to my grandchildren since birth. They learned at an early age to expect invitations to go on special spontaneous adventures, which we plan together. What’s your passion?

Kid-Driven Travel

Kid-driven travel is purposefully designed to incorporate the children’s preferences, needs and abilities.

It is not difficult to make traveling with young children magical, exceedingly memorable and especially fun for all.

Kids Do the Best Planning

Planning is a valuable exercise, and it can be as much or as little as you can commit. Just focus on trying to see the world through the eyes of your children and allow yourself to grab hold of every magical moment. Warning: it may become a passion!
